Debuting in 2013, the annual event has since moved to Government Plaza and features businesses and organizations decorating Christmas trees as part of a fundraising effort to benefit Tuscaloosa's One Place. The trees are then put on display throughout the holiday season for six weeks, with the winners announced after the new year begins.
Tuscaloosa's One Place serves over 11,000 people per year through after school programs, school social work, parenting and fatherhood, healthy relationship education, workforce development, and teen intervention programs.
