City Of Tuscaloosa Announces Changes To Garbage Collection Schedule
Tuscaloosa on Monday announced that trash and recycling collection will stay on the 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule following Labor Day.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa on Monday announced that trash and recycling collection will stay on the 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule following Labor Day.

This marks a change from previous years when the city would revert to a 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.

The City of Tuscaloosa said the decision was made to provide more consistency for residents and increase safety for environmental service crew workers.
Additionally, the city says all items must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. to ensure they are collected.
