City Of Tuscaloosa Announces Third CFO Change Since June
The news comes after the current acting CFO, Becky Scheeff, announced this week that she has taken another job with Alabama ONE Credit Union

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Clerk Carly Standridge has been announced as the city's acting chief finance officer beginning on Friday, Aug. 13.

The news comes after the current acting CFO, Becky Scheeff, accepted an offer from Alabama One Credit Union to serve as the director of Corporate Accounting. Mayor Walt Maddox announced that Standridge will serve in the position while the city conducts a national search to fill the position.

Standridge will now be the third CFO for the city since June, following the peculiar news that CFO Susan Snowden had been placed on administrative leave for undisclosed reasons, before voluntarily resigning from the position and leaving City Hall with praise from Mayor Walt Maddox.
No details have been made public as to why Snowden was initially placed on leave.

The search committee is made up of Finance Committee Chair Lee Busby, Director of Human Resources LaShonda Kemp, former Tuscaloosa City CFO Mike Wright and Bobby Bragg of JamisonMoneyFarmer PC.
“I look forward to the opportunity to provide continued stability to the budget process, and to be there to support the amazing team in the Accounting and Finance Department,” Standridge said. “The end of the fiscal year is approaching, which will kickoff multiple other processes, but I am thankful for the solid foundation that Becky and her team have laid as we have built the budget proposal.”
