TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa is currently accepting resumes from city residents for a position on the Personnel Board.

The Personnel Board is tasked with considering promotions for Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and the Tuscaloosa Police Department, in addition to reviewing appeals submitted by city employees relating to terminations and suspension.

Along with the residency requirement, applicants must display "good character" and not hold any civil office for the city, county or in state government.
The Tuscaloosa City Council will nominate qualified candidates for the position to be appointed by the governor, lieutenant governor or speaker of the House.
