City of Tuscaloosa To Host Career Fair In February
The city will host a career fair next month aimed at connecting job seekers with employment opportunities with the city.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa’s Human Resources Department will host a career fair next month aimed at connecting job seekers with employment opportunities with the city.

The job fair event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

City officials said members of its Human Resources Department will be on-site to assist applicants with completing job applications and interviews will be conducted during the event for several open positions.
Available positions include automotive mechanic, fleet services assistant, fleet services mechanic and heavy equipment operator.

The city said detailed job descriptions are available through the city’s website, and applicants are encouraged to review qualifications in advance.
Prospective candidates may also submit applications online prior to attending the fair, though the city says representatives will be available to provide guidance and answer questions throughout the event.
The City of Tuscaloosa also said it offers on-the-job training for many positions, along with a full benefits package for eligible employees.
