Coker Woman Killed, Northport Man Injured In Lowndes County Crash
A Coker woman was killed and a Northport man injured in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 121 in Lowndes County Thursday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Coker woman was killed and a Northport man injured in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 121 in Lowndes County Thursday morning.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency told local media Friday morning that the two-vehicle crash occurred around 10:20 a.m. when a 2018 Nissan Sentra driven by Mikayla L. Ramsey, 23, struck a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

ALEA said Ramsey was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 23-year-old passenger in her vehicle was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomer
ALEA also said the crash occurred on Alabama Highway 21, approximately 20 miles south of Hayneville, in Lowndes County.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
