Crimson Tide Hoops Stun No. 7 Tennessee In SEC Road-Opener
The unranked Alabama Crimson Tide upset No. 7 Tennessee with strong 3-point shooting Saturday night in Knoxville.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The unranked Alabama Crimson Tide (7-3, 2-0) remains unbeaten in conference play the early goings after a 71-63 upset of the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers (7-1, 1-1) in Knoxville Saturday night.
The Tide went into the locker room at halftime up 31-29 and staved off a Volunteer surge late in the game to secure a meaningful SEC win. Alabama was led in scoring by senior guard John Petty Jr., who finished perfect from 3-point range, going 4-for-4 and notching 19 points and six rebounds. Freshman guard Joshua Primo also contributed in the shooting game, going 3-for-5 from behind the arch on his way to an 11-point performance.

Senior forward Herbert Jones also finished with a strong night on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds and scoring 11.
The Crimson Tide will take on the Florida Gators (5-1, 2-0) Tuesday at home in Coleman Coliseum at 6 p.m.
