Crimson Tide Soccer Stars Earn SEC Weekly Honors
Riley Mattingly Parker was named SEC Offensive Player of Week, while goalkeeper McKinley Crone was named Defensive Player of the Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — No. 3 Alabama soccer saw two of its stars grab Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday, with Riley Mattingly Parker named SEC Offensive Player of Week, while goalkeeper McKinley Crone secured her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week award.

Parker was honored for scoring a goal and notching three assists to help the Tide against Mississippi State in a 4-1 win. She also came up big in Sunday's 2-0 win over Florida, grabbing an assist on a throw in to Kat Rogers.

Parker leads the SEC in points for the 2022 season, with 29, resulting from 12 goals and five assists
On the defensive side, Crone recorded five saves against Florida to capture her seventh shutout this season. Over the last week, she picked up nine saves and allowed just one goal.

The Tide (16-1-1, 8-0-0 SEC) will have the chance to close out its regular season undefeated in conference play on Thursday as the Tide travels to Auburn for a 7:30 p.m. matchup.
After making history on Sunday night in Tuscaloosa, the Tide will look to win its first SEC Tournament title, with play set to begin Monday, Oct. 31 in Pensacola, Florida.
