Croom Foundation Awards $25,000 In Scholarships
In total, the students each received $7,500 scholarships after being selected by a scholarship committee on their academic achievement.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Croom Foundation this week awarded $25,000 in scholarships to local scholars to honor the memory of fallen Meridian Police officer and Tuscaloosa native Kennis Croom, who was killed in the line of duty last year while responding to a call.

In total, the students each received $7,500 scholarships after being selected by a scholarship committee on their academic achievement, community service and other requirements.

Of the four recipients, Rose Hale received the Lighthouse Award and a full scholarship to attend Itawamba Community College.
