Cuba Man Killed In Friday Wreck In Southern Sumter County
The victim was identified as Morrell Cook, 60, following the Friday night crash on Sumter County Road 10.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a Sumter County man was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash on County Road 10 in southern Sumter County, approximately a mile south of the town of Cuba.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. Friday when a 2006 GMC Sierra driven by a Cuba man left the roadway and struck a tree. The lone fatality was identified as Morrell Cook, 60.

ALEA says Cook was not wearing a seat belt when the wreck occurred and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
