Cyclist Struck And Killed Tuesday Morning Near Selma
A Selma man was killed early Tuesday morning after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle on Alabama 14 in Dallas County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Selma man was killed early Tuesday morning after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle on Alabama 14 in Dallas County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash occurred at approximately 4 a.m. Tuesday near the 118 mile marker on Alabama 14, about two miles west of Selma.

The cyclist, identified as 61-year-old Johnny R. Brown of Selma, was critically injured when the bicycle he was operating was struck by a 1997 Toyota Corolla.
ALEA said Brown was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the crash.
