Still wet. Tuscaloosa can expect a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 56 by 4 p.m.

Patch Pick: Here's a photo that caught my eye from Gary Cosby Jr. of the Tuscaloosa News. The veteran photo journalist was able to get into a safe position to film one tornado as it crossed from Hale County into Tuscaloosa and captured this stunning photo.

Tuscaloosa Patch Notebook

- The Tuscaloosa Police Department recently celebrated the retirement of K9 Roscoe — a Belgian Malinois who began working with the department in 2012. He'll turn 10 in June and will spend his retirement years living with handler Sgt. John Busby and his family. The department then introduced Bako, who is the same breed, recently turned three years old and also just finished his training.

- Interviews will resume today for the open Northport city administrator position, with the first being conducted via Zoom with Nathan Patterson, who served as interim assistant director and previously as deputy director for the City of San Diego. Tuscaloosa City Attorney Glenda Webb will round out the interviews at 6:15 p.m. Webb has worked with the city for nearly two decades and served as Tuscaloosa's city attorney since 2013.

- I have a legislative session story I have been working on for a couple of days that has been stalled by breaking news, so you can expect that, along with yet another follow up on one of the biggest stories I've been chasing this week.

While I hope today's Daily was able to get you caught up, It's my hope you stayed updated and safe through Wednesday night and into this morning. It has been a week, but hopefully for all of us it will end on a peaceful note.

I'll see you around,

- Ryan
