Danny Jordan Named New Principal At Sipsey Valley High

Jordan comes to Sipsey Valley after serving as an assistant principal at Tuscaloosa County High School.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education has approved the hiring of Tuscaloosa County High School assistant principal Danny Jordan to become the new principal at Sipsey Valley High School in Buhl.

A graduate of Tuscaloosa County High, the University of Alabama and the University of Montevallo, Jordan previously worked at Hoover High School teaching algebra and geometry before returning to take an administrative role at his alma matter in Northport.

“Great things are in the near future for Sipsey Valley High School," Jordan told Patch. "I’m super excited to get to work, and begin making a difference in the students’ lives and the community. Go Bears!”

During his time at Hoover, Jordan also served as an assistant football coach for four years and served as the administrator of the Winter Credit Recovery and Summer School Programs for three years.

Jordan's hiring was approved Monday night during the regular meeting of the school board.

He will assume his new role on Tuesday.
