The number of COVID-19 inpatient cases throughout DCH Health System may be higher than in the first months of the pandemic, but the total saw little change over the weekend into Monday. According to the latest numbers published by DCH, the three-hospital system reported 109 inpatient cases to begin the week, which is unchanged from Friday's totals.

While the numbers held over the weekend, Monday's inpatient case number is still higher than the 78 cases reported two weeks ago. However, one positive sign showed in the number of patients on ventilators throughout DCH Health System, falling from 15 on Friday to 10 on Monday.

DCH also reported the number of patients being treated in intensive care units (ICU) has seen little fluctuation over the last two weeks. On Monday, the system reported 29 patients being treated in its ICUs, compared to 27 on July 20 and and 30 on Friday.
