DCH Fayette Medical Center Becomes Adopt-A-School Partner

A new partnership has been announced between DCH Fayette Medical Center and Fayette Elementary School.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama’s Adopt-A-School program on Wednesday announced a new partnership between DCH Fayette Medical Center and Fayette Elementary School.

Through this new Adopt-A-School partnership, DCH Fayette Medical Center will focus on recognizing Fayette Elementary’s faculty and staff every other month, in addition to providing volunteers for Read Across America Week and other school events throughout the year.

BankFirst's Fayette Branch also serves as an Adopt-A-School partner.

“DCH Fayette Medical Center is proud and excited to partner with Fayette Elementary School through the Adopt-A-School program,” DCH Health System Director of Volunteer Services and Wellness Wendi Parminter said. “This collaboration reflects our deep commitment to supporting education, investing in our community’s future, and helping students grow and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.”

DCH also said it plans to bring its signature career awareness event to the school this spring, with the program designed to be both educational and engaging.

This initiative will introduce students to various medical professions while helping alleviate fears about visiting the doctor or hospital by creating a fun and welcoming learning environment.
