DCH Health System CEO Katrina Keefer Elected To Alabama Hospital Association Board
DCH President and CEO Katrina Keefer has been elected to serve on the Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System President and CEO Katrina Keefer has been elected to serve as the West Regional Council representative on the Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees.

The West Alabama hospital system said Keefer was elected during the Alabama Hospital Association's 2026 annual meeting and will represent hospitals across the region on the organization's governing board.

The association serves as the statewide voice for Alabama's hospitals, advocating for policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving patient care.
"I am honored to serve on the Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees and to represent the hospitals and communities of West Alabama," Keefer said in a statement. "I look forward to collaborating with healthcare leaders across the state to support initiatives that strengthen our hospitals and ensure patients have access to compassionate, high-quality care close to home."

Keefer has led DCH Health System since 2022.
During her tenure, the health system said she has focused on strengthening operations, supporting employees and expanding access to high-quality healthcare across the region.
DCH also said those efforts have included improving patient care, enhancing operational performance and positioning the organization to meet the evolving healthcare needs of West Alabama.
Before joining DCH, Keefer served as CEO of Augusta University Health and previously held several executive leadership roles within UAB Health System, including 13 years as chief financial officer of Baptist Health in Montgomery.
In addition to leading DCH, Keefer serves in several leadership roles with healthcare, education and community organizations.
She is the incoming board chair of America's Essential Hospitals and serves on the boards of the Alabama School for Health Sciences, the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and the United Way of West Alabama.
Keefer is also a trustee of Huntingdon College.
