DCH Health System Names Briana Houston VP Of Marketing, Communications

TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System announced Friday that Briana Houston has been named vice president of marketing and communications after serving in the role on an interim basis since late May.

Houston previously served as DCH's director of business outreach after joining the health system in September 2024.

In her new role, Houston will oversee DCH's marketing and communications strategy, including media relations, internal and external communications, digital and social media, brand management and community engagement.

She will also lead efforts to promote DCH services and physicians throughout West Alabama.

“Briana brings a unique combination of strategic marketing experience, healthcare knowledge, and a genuine connection to the community we serve,” DCH Chief Operating Officer Mallary Myers said.

DCH says Houston has more than a decade of experience in marketing, business development and strategic growth, primarily in the health care industry.

“For me, this role is about strengthening the connection between DCH and the communities we are privileged to serve,” Houston said. “West Alabama is my home, and I care deeply about the people and organizations that make this community special.”

Houston served as board chair for Easterseals West Alabama from 2022-24 and currently serves as president of the United Way of West Alabama Young Leaders Society and on the United Way's board of directors.

A graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa, Houston received a West Alabama Young Leaders Award in 2023.

She hold's a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Auburn University.
