'Death By Chocolate' Fundraiser Set For April 14 At Tuscaloosa River Market
The Family Counseling Service of West Alabama has announced its annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser is set for April 14.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Family Counseling Service of West Alabama has announced its annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser is set for April 14 at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

Attendees will have the chance to sample a wide-range of chocolate delicacies from 12 of west Alabama’s restaurants and caterers. Proceeds will help the nonprofit continue to provide free or low-cost counseling services to children and families in the area.

“We are so excited to have Death by Chocolate back in person this year,” Family Counseling Service Executive Director Larry Deavers said. “This event is an amazing way for the community to come together for a night of fun and delicious chocolate while benefitting a great cause.”
Attendees will also cast votes for their favorite chocolate dish to decide a “People’s Choice” winner. What's more, judges will hand out a “Chef’s Choice award,” as judged by classically trained chefs during the event, in addition to awards for creativity, table décor and presentation.

This year’s vendors include: RIVER, Side by Side Kitchen & Cocktails, Gourmade Kitchen, Southern Ale House, The Wine Market, Nova La Vega Cakery, Shelton State Community College Culinary Arts, Hotel Capstone, Sweet Thangs Custom Cakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Dreamland BBQ and Tuscaloosa Career & Technology Academy: Hospitality and Tourism.
Tickets are available for $30 on the Death by Chocolate website
