Demopolis Man Killed In Hale County Crash Friday

A Demopolis man was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 60, roughly five miles east of Sawyerville.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Demopolis man was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 60, roughly five miles east of Sawyerville in Hale County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says approximately 2:30 a.m. Friday, 31-year-old TaCorey D. Jefferson was fatally injured when the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee that he was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.

Troopers reported that Jefferson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
