Deontay Wilder Named Grand Marshal Of Tuscaloosa NAACP's Juneteenth Parade
The Bronze Bomber is set to be the grand marshal for the Tuscaloosa NAACP's Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 18.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Former WBC Heavyweight Champion and Tuscaloosa native Deontay Wilder has been announced as the grand marshal for the Tuscaloosa NAACP 2022 Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 18.

The honor is just the latest for the Bronze Bomber, after a bronze statue in his detailed likeness was unveiled out from of the Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports office on Jack Warner Parkway.

Line up for the parade is set to begin at 9 a.m. at Westlawn Middle School, with the parading beginning at 10 a.m.
The route will move down Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the McDonald Hughes Community Center. The deadline for parade entries is Thursday at noon.

The parade will be followed by a community cookout in Palmore Park from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
