For those unfamiliar with The Venue, the innovative concept sits on a five-acre piece of land shared by Tree House Farm & Nursery off of Watermelon Road. The Venue features three buildings, an outdoor stage and a permanent tent enclosing a grass courtyard.

In terms of culinary offerings, The Venue consists of multiple menu options: Liza’s Sweet Shoppe, Smokehouse Grill, Tacos Locos and The Venue Market & Deli. What's more, there is an air-conditioned on-site bar dubbed Finny's Pub — reflecting the last name of The Venue's owners, Bryan and Lee Finison.

General manager Patrick Jones told Patch Diamond Rio will be the first act to kick off the concert series, with other big name headliners currently being negotiated for the series, which is sponsored by Barkley Buick GMC Cadillac.

Jones explained that current plans call for four national national acts and four local acts, bringing the concert series to eight shows, total.

"We are super excited because there’s just nothing like this in this area," Jones said. "It’s such a fresh idea. We’ve really been evolving with what the people want and just gauging from the public, they would love bigger bands on this side of town, maybe because the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater isn’t as intimate, they don't want to park downtown and the food options are just different."

Tickets for the concert are already on sale and set at $39.50 each, with a $25 VIP upgrade.

Parking will also be priced at $10 per vehicle.

VIP access will open at 4:30 p.m., with a band performing a private show on the stage inside The Venue from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Gates for the concert will open at 6 p.m. and Adam Hood will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., followed by Diamond Rio.
