Downtown Tuscaloosa Coffee Trail Rewards Visitors For Shopping Local

The Tuscaloosa Downtown Merchants Association this week announced it has launched the Downtown Tuscaloosa Coffee Trail, a free promotion that encourages residents and visitors to visit locally owned coffee shops and specialty beverage destinations.

Organizers says the Coffee Trail runs through July 31 and allows participants to register online, check in at participating locations and collect visits as they make their way through downtown's coffee scene.

Participating businesses include: the The Alamite Hotel, City Bowls, Comfort Grounds, Five Java, Just Love Coffee Cafe, Monarch Espresso and Turbo Coffee.

Participants who complete check-ins at all participating locations can claim a free coffee mug at the Visit Tuscaloosa Welcome Center while supplies last.

Those who finish the trail will also be eligible to purchase a Tuscaloosa Downtown Merchants Association Individual Tier Membership at 50% off.

"This event is a fun way to highlight the incredible local businesses that make Downtown Tuscaloosa such a vibrant destination," TDMA President Brandon Tribble said in a news release. "Whether you're a longtime local or visiting for the first time, the Coffee Trail gives everyone a reason to discover new favorite coffee spots while supporting our downtown merchants."
