Exchange Club Of Tuscaloosa Names Whitfield Member Of The Year

Gaius "Whit" Whitfield has been named the 2022 Exchangite of the Year by the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Gaius “Whit” Whitfield has been named the 2022 Exchangite of the Year by the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa.

The award was presented during the club's weekly meeting on July 7, which follows Whitfield completing his second term as club president.

A Tuscaloosa native, husband and father of two daughters, Whitfield works as the portfolio manager for Regions Bank's Private Wealth Management.

According to the national organization, which also observes the honor at the national level after local winners compete at the district level, those named Exchangite of the Year are selected for the club offices they hold, the committees they chair, the fundraisers they manage, the number of new members they sponsored and more.

The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa meets every Thursday at noon at the Indian Hills Country Club, with each meeting featuring lunch and a guest speaker.

The next speaker for the meeting on July 14 will be Robert Register, who will discuss river locks.
