TUSCALOOSA, AL — It was a busy week on the Capstone, full of numerous victories and emotional moments beginning with the Crimson Tide's national championship win Monday in a 52-24 rout of the Ohio State Buckeyes in Miami.

Here's a look at some of the other big headlines in sports from the last week:

1. Bama Hoops Stays Unbeaten In SEC Play With Road Win At Kentucky: John Petty Jr. knocked down four three-pointers on his way to 23 points in a 85-65 road win for the Crimson Tide in Lexington on Tuesday. The win saw the Nate Oats-led Tide (10-3, 5-0) win its fifth consecutive conference game to remain unbeaten in SEC play.

2. Closing In On An Offensive Coordinator: Numerous reports from major outlets, including ESPN, are indicating that Alabama is finalizing a deal that will see former Houston Texans and Penn State head football coach Bill O'Brien named the next offensive coordinator on Nick Saban's staff. The move comes following the departure of Steve Sarkisian, who was hired as the next head coach at Texas.

3. Tide Loses Four Underclassmen To NFL Draft: Several Alabama football players announced intentions this week to leave school early to enter the NFL Draft, including receiver Jaylen Waddle, quarterback Mac Jones, defensive back Patrick Surtain II, and defensive lineman Christian Barmore.

4. Alabama Softball Announces 2021 Schedule: Coach Patrick Murphy and the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team will open up the season against Texas and Arizona in Austin on Feb. 12-14. Click here to view the recently announced conference slate.

5. Tide Women Win Second Straight In Starkville: In convincing fashion, the Alabama women's basketball team (11-1, 4-1) traveled to Starkville on Thursday and upset No. 14 Mississippi State. Tide guard Jordan Lewis notched 22 points on the night, followed by 17 points and 10 rebounds from Jasmine Walker.
