A standout for the Hillcrest High Patriots, McMillan was a Class 6A first team all-state selection in 2019 after finishing on the mound with 88 strikeouts, while also coming up big at the plate with a .444 average his senior year.
McMillan's time with the Patriots was no doubt successful, as Hillcrest reached the Class 6A semifinals during his final three seasons after winning a state title in 2016 when McMillan was a freshman.
He is the son of Scott and Michelle McMillan and has one sister, Mallory.
