Greene County's Tour Of Historic Places Set For October

EUTAW, AL — The Greene County Historical Society is once again gearing up to host its annual Tour of Historic Places next month.

The popular annual event is set for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.,. and Sunday, Oct. 8, from noon until 5 p.m.

The tour will feature 10 historic sites — six of which are on the National Register of Historic Places, while two others are listed on the Alabama Register of Landmark and Heritage.

The cost for the tour is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Tour bracelets will be available for purchase at the Historical Society's headquarters at the Iredell P. Vaughn House.

Additionally, groups of 10 or more will receive a reduced price of $15 per person.

The Greene County Historical Society will also serve BBQ and salad plates for $15 at the Iredell P. Vaughn House from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. pm both days.
