TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department on Wednesday identified a Greensboro man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle Tuesday night on Interstate 359.

TPD says Alexander Chase Balentine, 29, was driving a TaoTao TBR7D motorcycle that was struck from behind near on Interstate 359 near the exit for Investigator Dornell Cousette Street.

The crash occurred at 8:09 p.m.

Investigators found that Balentine was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Following the crash, traffic was redirected and the road remained closed until 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting a follow-up investigation.
