TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Hank Poore Foundation is set to host its primary fundraiser, Ale On Wheels, later this month.

The mission of the nonprofit, founded in 2020, is to provide opportunities and experiences for people with disabilities.

Indeed, the Hank Poore Foundation focuses particularly on providing accessible recreation in Tuscaloosa and the west Alabama area, including adaptive water skiing and kayaking, accessible trails, and providing equipment for people with disabilities.

The annual fundraiser will be held at the Buddy Powell Pavilion from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20.

The event will feature two live musical acts — Coach Cameron and the Lock 9 Band, along with The Local.

Food trucks in attendance will include Urban Cookhouse, Pastor's Kitchen, and Aw Shucks.

Beer and wine for the event will be provided by Black Warrior Brewing and Spirits, with the entertainment also made possible by Eat My Beats.
