Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox says parts of the city received five or more inches of rain in less than two hours Saturday afternoon, as widespread flooding across much of the area stranded motorists and left one man dead. (Tuscaloosa Patch)
The University of Alabama says 22 buildings on its Tuscaloosa campus were impacted by flood waters Saturday, as preliminary numbers show 3.5 inches of rain falling on campus in just over an hour. (Tuscaloosa Patch)
