'Dining Through Time': Historic Tuscaloosa Hosting Dinner Tour Event Thursday
Historic Tuscaloosa is set to host a three-course meal on Thursday, Sept. 29 that will include tours at three of its historic properties.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Historic Tuscaloosa is set to host a three-course meal on Thursday, Sept. 29 that will include tours at three of its historic properties in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Beginning at 6 p.m. at the Old Tavern, the tour will then move to the Jemison-Van De Graaff Mansion at 7:15 p.m. and conclude with the meal's final course at the Battle Friedman House & Gardens.

Proceeds from the event will fund the repointing of the Battle Friedman chimneys, along with other brick work and additional projects needed in and around the house
Historic Tuscaloosa says each of the properties on the itinerary have a specific connection to a particular country that then determined the menu items to be offered to guests. These treats will include Hors D'oeuvres (French), main meal (English) and desserts (Hungarian and German).

The nonprofit will also decorate with flags, flowers and music to reflect these traditions at the three properties.
