Holy Spirit Names Holly Collins As New Athletic Director

Holy Spirit varsity volleyball coach Holly Collins has been named as its new athletic director.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Holy Spirit Catholic High School this week announced that Holy Spirit varsity volleyball coach Holly Collins has been named as its new athletic director.

"This is a year of learning the 'ins and outs' of an athletic director for me," Collins said. "I am looking forward to working with parents, coaches, and athletes at all levels at Holy Spirit Catholic School."

Collins was an assistant volleyball coach in 1999 when Holy Spirit won a state title and served as head coach when Holy Spirit won the 2000 state championship.

Collins played volleyball and basketball during her high school years, in addition to participating in track and field.

Her talents would take her to Linfield College, where she played volleyball and eventually earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

Collins went on to become a teacher and coach for 27 years.

Collins and her husband Jason have two sons — Michael and Will, who both graduated from Holy Spirit.
