TUSCALOOSA, AL — Authorities confirmed Saturday afternoon that investigators are on the scene of a homicide at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed to Patch that the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is currently on the scene at Brookhaven Apartments at 1310 James I Harrison Jr. Parkway.

TPD said officers were initially called to the apartment complex at 2:19 p.m. on a report of a male who had been assaulted and killed.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit also confirmed that one male individual was deceased but no other details have been made available at this time.
