Stillman College 79, Dalton State 73

Stat Line: Stillman's LaDarius Carter — a senior from York — scored a career-high 25 points to help the No. 15 Tigers improve to 5-0.

Shelton State 83, Coastal Alabama 70

Stat Line: The win improves the Bucs' record to 4-1 before they travel to Andalusia next Monday to take on Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.

Women's Basketball

Shelton State 111, Coastal Alabama 16

Stat line: Freshman Nya Valentine, a guard from Mobile, scored 28 points and was one of five players to finish in double figures in an eye-popping blowout of visiting Coastal Alabama. On defense, the Lady Bucs (4-1) would not allow the Sun Chiefs to score in the double-digits during a single quarter, before shutting the visiting squad out in the final quarter.
