"After careful consideration and many prayers, I have decided to close the Hoo's Q location on 15th Street, to devote more time to my family and other businesses," McDaniel said. "Thank you to all my loyal customers, friends [and] employees."
McDaniel previously owned the Tuscaloosa franchise for Mike & Ed's BBQ, before moving the eatery across the river to Northport for a brief time following the 2011 tornado that leveled much of 15th Street, including the BBQ franchise.
