As of the publication of this story, four candidates have met the reporting threshold amount for funds raised. According to the Alabama Secretary of State's campaign finance records, a total of $45,702.26 in contributions has been reported, with $16,084.25 spent thus far.

Democratic candidates
Big John Underwood
- Retired police officer and longtime Fayette County Commissioner.

Republican candidates
Bryan Brinyark
- Attorney from Northport who serves as a reserve municipal court judge for the City of Tuscaloosa and as the municipal court judge for the cities of Brent and Centreville, along with the Town of Woodstock.

Brad Cox
- Fayette County commissioner and employed by Alabama One Credit Union as a business development officer.

Greg Fanin
- Business Unit Leader at Pemco Aeroplex in Birmingham.

Greg Lowrey
- Studio musician, songwriter, and keyboardist for Christian and country music acts.

Floyd "Jr" Rodgers, Jr.
- Associate pastor at Peaceful Rest Baptist Church in Fayette.

Mike Simpson
- Current pastor of Smithville Baptist Church and has a law practice in Hueytown, Alabama. He ran unsuccessfully for the House District 16 seat in 2018.
