Investigators Seek Second Suspect In Skyland Boulevard Shooting
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is actively looking for a second suspect involved in a Monday shooting on Skyland Boulevard.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is actively looking for a second suspect involved in a Monday shooting at a Skyland Boulevard gas station and shared surveillance photos in an effort to track him down.

Captain Marty Sellers provided the update to local media on Tuesday as investigators work to identify the second suspect following the shooting that injured one man.

As Patch reported late Monday night, Marcedes Turner, 35, has been charged with attempted murder and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
The shooting occurred just before 5 p.m. in the 2000 block of Skyland Boulevard East at a gas station, with Tuscaloosa Police officers locating one person who had been shot in the 3700 block of Hargrove Road East, as they were attempting to drive themselves to the hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

"While officers were on scene at the gas station, a male came back to the scene and stated that he had been involved in the incident and surrendered a weapon," Sellers said on Monday. "Through the course of the investigation it was determined that three males got into an argument at the gas station in reference to an earlier incident between two of them."
Turner was arrested on the aforementioned offenses and also charged with robbery in reference to a previous incident involving one of the other men involved in the shooting Monday afternoon.
