Jackson Gaido Named Coach For Shelton State Esports Team

Shelton State Community College has announced an experience gamer with connections to the school is set to lead the team as its coach.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College this week named Jackson Gaido as the new coach of the school's Esports team.

SSCC says Gaido brings a wealth of gaming experience and management, most recently participating as an active member of the Bucs' Esports team. As Patch previously reported, the Esports team first began competing in October 2020.

He is currently pursuing a degree in programming and application development.

“I am extremely excited to be a new part of this team as the coach and help each player achieve their max potential,” he said. “I can’t wait to see how this amazing group continues to grow and perform!”

Gaido will join Shelton State Esports sponsor Elena Hodgson in leading the team.
