The 12th annual Johnny Shines Blues Festival is set for Saturday at the McAbee Activity Center.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The 12th annual Johnny Shines Blues Festival is set for Saturday at the McAbee Activity Center.

Doors for the event will open at 9 a.m., with the Big Time Rhythm and Blues Band from Greenville, Mississippi scheduled as the highlighted guest, along with a long list of other performers.

Proceeds from the festival will sponsor Johnny Shines Blues Scholarships, which are awarded to underprivileged children who want to learn to play musical instruments, particularly the guitar.
The McAbee Activity Center is located at 3801 Loop Road in Tuscaloosa.

10 a.m. until noon — Children's play time.
1 p.m. — Dr. Cassandra Blackburn & Friends.
1:45 p.m. — Johnson Brothers.
2 p.m. — Alabama Blues Project.
3 p.m. — Bougie Boogie Line Dancers.
3:30 p.m. — Black Elvis
4:30 p.m. — Kent DuChaine.
5:30 p.m. — Cowbell Ring
6:30 p.m. — Carroline Shines & Impulse
7:30 p.m. — Big Time Rhythm and Blues Band
