Kellie Parks Sworn In On Woodstock Town Council
Parks was sworn in Monday to fill the seat vacated by Town Councilman Jerry Beams, who announced his retirement in April.

WOODSTOCK, AL — The Woodstock Town Council swore in its newest member Monday night during its regular meeting.

Kellie Parks, a longtime Woodstock native, was selected for the council by way of unanimous vote on May 17 and was appointed to fill a seat recently vacated by Councilman Jerry Beams, who announced his retirement in April.

"Kellie Parks is a 19-year resident of the Town of Woodstock and has expressed a great willingness and drive to serve the community," Mayor Jeff Dodson said. “I look forward to working with her and the rest of the town council as we strive to build and continue the growth of the Town of Woodstock."
A mother of two, Parks is married to Bryan Parks and has worked in the automotive industry for 27 years.

Dodson also previously praised Beams for his seven years on the council, referring to his "community spirit."
“It’s been a true honor to have Jerry Beams as a part of the council and Town administration,” he said in April.
