Lady Bucs Ranked No. 2 In Preseason NJCAA Women's Basketball Poll
The Lady Bucs will open the 2022-23 season on the road at East Mississippi Community College on Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The 2022-23 women's college basketball season is right around the corner, with Shelton State Community College ranked No. 2 in NJCAA Division 1 rankings released on Monday.

The ranking comes after the Lady Bucs finished last season with 29-2 record, in addition to running the table in the Alabama Community College Conference for a perfect 16-0 mark.

The team will once again be led by head coach Madonna Thompson, who is entering her 25th year as at the helm for the Lady Bucs. She currently holds an overall record of 659-140.
Defending NJCAA national champions Tyler Junior College was the only team to receive first-place votes, gathering support from all 10 of the ballots submitted.
