Lake Lurleen State Park To Welcome Runners For Phoenix Trail Fest

TUSCALOOSA, AL — After experiencing success with past events, Lake Lurleen State Park will host The Phoenix Trail Fest on April 22 to benefit the Phoenix House of Tuscaloosa.

Sponsored by Fleet Feet of Tuscaloosa, the event will offer a unique trail running experience on single-track trails that twist around Lake Lurleen.

The Phoenix Trail Fest will begin at 8 a.m. Distances will include 4.6 miles, 12.5, 25, 37.5, 50, and 62.5 (100K).

- $15 for the 4-mile course.
- $35 for all other distances.
- Race prices increase after Feb. 28.
Lake Lurleen State Park offers 24 miles of single track trails, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and encourages participants to camp at the park the night before or after the run. A Phoenix Trail Fest discount will be available for those looking to camp.
Proceeds will benefit The Phoenix House — a Tuscaloosa-based nonprofit that operates as a live-in facility geared toward helping residents recover from addiction.
