Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama said participants will have an opportunity to operate a stand for free, with the goals being to promote financial literacy, entrepreneurship, analytical skills and self-reliance.

“We have seen for several years the impact this program has on our Club members,” Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama Director of Operations William Walker said. “They learn how to make important choices about money. They learn how to take an idea and turn it into reality, and they feel a sense of accomplishment from creating and running their lemonade stand.”
