TUSCALOOSA, AL — A popular online content platform has returned to Tuscaloosa as it seeks to promote kid-friendly events and news for families in a rapidly-growing community.

Macaroni Kid Tuscaloosa — the Tuscaloosa affiliate of a national brand with local publishers in nearly 500 towns across the United States and Canada — has the primary goal of connecting caregivers with their children in meaningful ways by providing a free monthly activity calendar and weekly e-newsletter, along with articles about the area, crafts, recipes, and parenting hacks.

Stephanie Horton, a North Carolina native who grew up visiting her father's side of the family in Alabama, is the publisher for Macaroni Kid Tuscaloosa. She said Macaroni Kid merged forces in 2020 with CertifiKid — a national website that offers discounts on children's activities and family experiences.
