Man Arrested In Tuscaloosa On Sex Abuse Charges Involving Multiple Victims
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has arrested a man accused of sexual abuse and sodomy against multiple victims over the last year.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man has been jailed by Tuscaloosa authorities and charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy in connection to events that happened within the last year and involved several victims.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit's Sexual Assault Section obtained charges and arrested Tommy Ray Wilson, 31, on one count of Rape 1st Degree, one count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, and two counts of Sodomy 1st Degree.

Wilson has been booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a combined bond set at $195,000.
"It took a great deal of courage for this victims to come forward at this time," said VCU Commander Captain Jack Kennedy. "The Sexual Assault Section works alongside other community partners to support victims, and bring these types of offenders to justice."

He then said out of respect to the victim's privacy, no other details would be made public at this time.
"Due to the nature of the abuse, and known proclivities of these types of offenders, we encourage anyone who may have been a victim of Tommy Ray Wilson to please contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690," Kennedy said.
