As Patch previously reported, Davis was found guilty of capital murder in May 2025 for the shooting death of 23-year-old Birmingham mother Jamea Harris.
A Tuscaloosa County jury determined Davis fired the fatal shot that killed Harris during a shootout with the victim's boyfriend on Grace Street near The Strip during the early morning hours of Jan. 15, 2023.

Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles was also charged with capital murder and accused of providing the handgun used by Davis in the fatal shooting.
Miles is awaiting trial on his capital murder charge and has been held without bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail since the morning of the shooting.
Following the guilty verdict last May, Davis quickly appealed his conviction to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
Friday's ruling leaves intact the appellate court's decision in June that affirmed Davis' conviction.
By denying the rehearing request, the court declined to revisit its previous opinion.
Under Alabama law, Davis may still seek further review by filing a petition with the Alabama Supreme Court.
Davis is currently serving out his life sentence at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer.
