A man was injured Tuesday evening when he was shot while driving on Interstate 20 in Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man was injured Tuesday evening when he was shot while driving on Interstate 20 in Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told Patch dispatchers received the initial call at 5:50 p.m. that a 30-year-old man was injured while drive when a bullet entered his vehicle through the passenger-side window.

Captain Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said the gunfire came from another vehicle also traveling on the interstate.
The incident occurred near Exit 86 for the Mercedes-Benz U.S. International plant in Vance.

Taylor said the man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is now investigating the case.
No arrests or suspects have been announced in the shooting.
