TUSCALOOSA, AL — A single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Tannehill Parkway resulted in the death of a McCalla man, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has confirmed.

ALEA says the wreck occurred at approximately 3:44 a.m. when a 1998 Ford F-150 driven by Jackie L. George, 33, left the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned.

George was pronounced dead at the scene, which was roughly three miles east of the Town of Woodstock in Tuscaloosa County.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
