McElroy Tests Positive For Coronavirus, Will Miss Bowl Game Calls
ESPN college football commentator and former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy will not be in the booth for two bowl games after the news.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama fans will be without a familiar voice on the radio Friday as ESPN college football commentator and former Crimson Tide quarterback Greg McElroy announced he has tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss a pair of postseason calls.
McElroy was set to be in the booth for the Cotton Bowl Game against Florida and Oklahoma on Wednesday night, before being on the radio call for Alabama's College Football Playoffs Semifinal matchup against Notre Dame on Friday.
This is my favorite week of the year. I was so excited to head home, to DFW, to call the @CottonBowlGame and then to be on the radio call for @rosebowlgame. Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID. I’m disappointed, but I feel good and hope to be back soon. Appreciate y’all!

In making the announcement on Twitter Tuesday night, McElroy expressed his disappointment in missing the game, but also showed gratitude to those who have shown support.
