McLean Moore Named UA's 2021 Homecoming Queen

The University of Alabama said the voter turnout in the election was the highest seen by the university since 2015.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa native McLean Moore edged out four other candidates at the ballot box this week to be named 2021 Homecoming Queen at the University of Alabama.

The final result was announced on the steps of Gorgas Library during the annual pep rally and bonfire Friday night.

Moore, who is a senior majoring in both finance and economics, was sponsored by Kappa Kappa Gamma. The 2021 University of Alabama Homecoming Court was selected in a student election.

The University of Alabama remarked that this year represented the biggest voter turnout since 2015, with 13,180 students casting ballots.

According to UA, Moore's philanthropic focus is on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tuscaloosa, which matches youth with adult mentors.

Other candidates in the Homecoming Court include: Laney Ackles, Noelle Fall, Montana Fouts, and Savanah Lemon.
