Special Metallica Concert To Be Shown At Guin Drive-In Theater

The Blue Moon Drive-In Theater in Marion County will be one of two Alabama drive-ins to show rock band Metallica's special concert as part of the Encore Drive-In Nights series later this month. The event, despite not being a live-streamed show, will air at hundreds of drive-ins across the United States and Canada on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The concert event is the band's first show of 2020, according to the event preview on Ticketmaster, and will include a special performance by fellow rockers Three Days Grace.

Tickets for the show in Guin go on sale Aug. 14 and are priced for general admission at $115 per vehicle of up to six people. The two-hour event will begin at 8 p.m.

The price of admission will also include four digital downloads of the band's "S&M2" — an album documenting the two concerts that reunited the band and San Francisco Symphony for the first time in 20 years.

The Blue Moon Drive-In is located at 4690 US Highway 43, Guin, AL., 35563.

The other Alabama showing of the concert will be at the VIP Star-Lite Drive-In in Newton, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Tickets for that show will also go on sale Aug. 14.
